The Equity Kicker: Monetising Facebook apps

  • Joe T. · 2 years ago
How about "mass sales"? In other words, mass selling of Facebook accounts and other apps to large groups, like high school and university classes, sports teams, hobby groups, companies, associations, non-profits and political groups, etc. The accounts could be "furnished" with some features already installed, like team or corporate logos, etc. Sell 'em all a package deal, all together.

Hi Joe - I can see this happening, but not sure if it will be a big market?

You are already seeing companies start to specialise in building Facebook apps though.

    Hi Nic,
yep I appreciate that you seem to feel that Facebook apps are not the money spinner that the Sunday Sport promised ;-)

There's a a classic issue that people have forgotten here about apps on Facebook.

But with respect you are missing the big picture. Apps are only a small part of what the Facebook platform is really going to be about. And apps will just provide a small part of that paradigm. But one that will provide an important under pinning.

But not all of us are developing Ping The Prime Minister's Braces...

PS my blog about Lee (Ventura Ventures - a Facebook finance specialist) might amuse you.

    We should talk.
